Quality Workmanship

Our fitting process ensures that your marine fabric will custom-fit the unique shape and features of your vessel, maximizing its effectiveness in protecting your boat from the elements. Our materials and techniques exceed industry standards and will provide many years of use and enjoyment. We custom design stainless steel framework, bimini tops and enclosures to enhance the style and functionality of your vessel. As boat owners we’re well aware of the harsh conditions boats must endure, and as such we’re as concerned with how your fabric looks today as we are with how it will look in ten years. Every team member at Safe Harbor is trained and certified by the Custom Canvas Training Workshop and is skilled in fabrication techniques that are suitable for climates anywhere from the Great Lakes to the Florida Keys.

Boat Canvas

The primary purpose of boat canvas is to stop the elements, especially water, from entering your boat. However marine fabrics have many other uses such as sun shades, cockpit covers, camper enclosures, hatch covers, windscreens, and bridge enclosures to name just a few.

Custom Canvas

Marine fabrics that aren’t properly fitted not only leak but also quickly deteriorate from wind and pooling water. When this happens, not only does the life expectancy of your canvas decrease but your boat weathers and deteriorates as well. Custom fitting is essential because no two boats are the same. Only properly fitted canvas constructed of quality fabric, thread, and other materials will offer maximum protection from wind, rain, mold, mildew, sun-rot, and day-to-day use. Unlike most fabricators who create a pattern and then transfer that pattern to the fabric, we actually fit the fabric itself to your boat. This improved process takes fabric stretch into account, which patterning does not, and insures that you get the best fit possible. Properly fitted and fabricated canvas is not only functional and attractive; it protects your boat’s value.

The Best Days Are Spent On The Water

Sunbrella marine fabrics are engineered to protect your boat against the elements in harsh marine environments, including resistance against constant exposure to the sun, rain, salt, or humidity.

Weather Resistant

All Sunbrella fabrics are resistant to mold and mildew. Should exposure to dirt, debris, sun lotion, or other environmental elements cause mold or mildew to occur, simply spot clean with a bleach solution.

Mold & Mildew Resistant

Unlike some marine fabrics that trap heat in, Sunbrella marine canvas fabrics allow air to pass through, creating a cool and comfortable boating experience for all on board.

Breathable Comfort Teacher

Durable Sunbrella fibers are saturated to the core with color and UV stabilized pigments, ensuring our fabrics won’t fade or become damaged due to the sun’s harsh rays or normal wear. Sunbrella fabrics, unlike ordinary fabrics, are solution-dyed with rich colors that stay brilliant over time no matter the environment.

Fade Resistant

Engineered to maintain their integrity, Sunbrella fabrics are easy to clean. When life happens, blot spills with a clean, dry cloth and use mild soap and warm water to remove. For even the toughest messes, our fabrics are safe to clean with a diluted bleach solution.
